 | Welcome to Gurkha Nepalease Community London Borough of Hounslow Website. Message from Chairman
Dear Colleagues, After the end of the annual celebration of Dashain 2009(Nepali Calendar year 2066 BS), the winter breeze traditionally starts by bringing a quiet period for Gurkha Nepalese Community London Borough of Hounslow with less or no events and less disruption. But unfortunately this winter has brought us more work than we imagine. Operationally, we have an exceptionally high volume of activities that needs to be completed by community in order to move forward but has cause disruption on and off occasions by the inappropriate intruders. This disruption has brought nothing but strong unity within the team. Thanks again to all those who helped out when necessary. By joining in campaign at Gurkha Nepalese Community London Borough of Hounslow, there are ongoing free training and job opportunity activities to support both for our members and their family. We would like to thanks new members who joined GNCH and making it stronger and unity. Thank you and welcome to GNCH. Historically, Community has held party events and gathering since 2005 even though we were struggling on constructive base to build up and form up our name and foundation. Three years after disruption we GNCH finally came to be recognised and were registered on 2 FEB 2009 by officially becoming a member of CVS and by opening business bank account at HSBC Hounslow High Street. Since establishment of GNCH, we are well recognised by CVS Hounslow, London Borough of Council, Nepali Embassy UK and various other Nepali communities. It has also been rapidly spreading out its name in volunteer organisation in the borough and media such as nepalbritain.com, Nepali sundeshes and Nepali Euro patra. In short period of its history and by our judgement, GNCH has become well established Nepali community in West London. I personally would like to welcome to all Nepalese living in Hounslow Borough to join GNCH and make our community stronger and unity. Financially, GNCH, continue progressing to building up fund by organising annual events and receiving grant from Council to support sports, education and welfare of member. The executive committee member and advisor are requested to bring good ideas to raise the funds. I continue to be extremely proud of all our efforts to raise funds for community and its members and would like to thank you all. Unfortunately poor deliverance of Community Leading standards, over confident and misleading improper channels are areas of great concern which were overcame by GNCH’s strong community and unity. So would like to thank adviser and committee for your support. Finally I was very pleased to speak to many of you in Dashain event 2009 and I am truly grateful as always for your feedback and views. THANK YOU
Bishnu Gurung Chairman (GNCH)
